Softball wins over Glendale 12-6

The Lady Bulldogs beat Springfield’s Glendale on Monday, Sept. 9, by a score of 12 to 6.  Rolla JV also won 14 to 1.

Jade Deshurley got the start and the win for Rolla varsity, pitching 7 innings, allowed 6 runs (4 earned), on 9 hits, walked 5, struck out 5.

Varsity linescore:  Rolla–12 runs, 16 hits, 2 errors
Glendale–6 runs, 9 hits, 3 errors

Offensively for Rolla:  Maegan Ray was 3 for 4 with a double, 1 run scored, and 2 RBI.
Anna Feeler was 3 for 5 with a double, 2 runs scored, and 2 RBI.
Kaitlyn Settles was 2 for 3 with a double, 1 run scored, and 1 RBI.
Amy Black was 1 for 3 with 1 run scored, 1 walk, and 1 RBI.
Jade Deshurley was 2 for 4, 2 doubles, with 2 runs scored, and 1 RBI.
Kayla Reed was 1 for 3 with 3 runs scored, 2 stolen bases, 1 walk, 1 HBP.
Brooke Maxwell was 1 for 3 with 1 run scored, and 1 RBI.
Baeleigh Barr was 1 for 1 with 1 RBI.
Sydney Wells did not get a hit, but walked and had 1 RBI, as well.

Rolla JV:  Pitching was divided between Skylar Turner and Meredith Sowers.
Offensively for Rolla:
Meredith Sowers, Mackenzie Masters, Taylor Hance, Hayley Gremp, Ryann Rigsby, Kameron Jordan, and Alcina Reese each had 1 hit, with Reese getting a Grand Slam Home Run.
