Senior night for basketball, cheerleading ends with a win

As Geoffrey Chaucer once said, “All good things must come to an end.” And on Tuesday February 9, the Rolla boys basketball team and cheerleading teams seniors had to experience their bittersweet farewell.

The boys basketball team’s season has been one of their best in history, with twenty wins and only one loss. And with the conclusion of their senior night, the boys added one more win to their record with their 75-58 conference victory over Parkview.

Along with the boys, the Rolla cheerleaders had six seniors ending their high school career in a fun senior dance. After the night was over, senior Erin Wilson described her last night with her teammates.

“It is very nostalgic. It feels like just yesterday I was wearing my pink overalls so it’s very bittersweet and it’s flying by,” Wilson said.
