Pete’s Pumpkin Patch

Everybody loves pumpkins

As fall approaches quickly, Pete’s Pumpkin Patch is preparing for the pumpkin season. Families come from near and far for a memorable day at the patch on 18385 S. US Highway 63 in Rolla, Missouri.

“My kiddo asks about it during the summer now because he likes it so much. They have plenty of room to take pictures and grab a pumpkin. And it’s easy to reach and very inexpensive for an afternoon of memories,” said Charlene Rioux who has a seven year old boy.

Although it has been said that Petes’ has one of the top pumpkin patches in central Missouri, that’s not where the excitement stops. They have all sorts of fun activities, and they add new ones every year. This year, the new attributes this year are a twenty-four foot tall goat tower where you can watch the goats in action. Another new activity is a rock climbing wall that is only five dollars per person. Lastly they now have Uncle Richard’s Mining Company which is four dollars per person.

“First year was the train and second year was the giant slide. I love that there is room to take pictures.” Said Penny Gamble, mother of two young boys.

Another great thing about the patch is that the prices are reasonable. The admission fee is only 6 dollars per person. That price covers most of the activities, however, some are at extra cost. In the end, family’s seem to think it is all worth it.

“We spend forty dollars on average and that includes admission.” Said Rioux.

“The prices are most definitely reasonable. I would probably pay more if they asked. It’s a good deal,” said Gamble.

When at Pete’s Pumpkin Patch, children of all ages could most definitely find one thing at the least that they enjoyed. Although this is true, it seems to fit the age group of about three years old to early teens. No matter the age, this is definitely a place people recommend to others.

“I tell people my daughter loves to go when someone asks if my family likes Petes’. There is a lot of playground like items to keep them busy. The animals are fun, and even if you don’t want to pick a pumpkin, go on the hayride and visit the pumpkin patch area. You won’t regret it,” said Rioux.
