Book review of “Passenger”

With Christmas break fast approaching and free time becoming more of a priority, I thought that I would recommend one of my favorite books for those looking for something to read over the holidays. Passenger by Alexandra Bracken is a young adult science fiction novel, and it is a great book for those who love time travel.

In this novel, Etta Spencer is a violin prodigy who has her whole life changed in the span of a minute. One moment she’s one stage performing one of the biggest shows of her life, the next she loses her family and is tossed into an unfamiliar time. There she meets Nicholas, a seaman who’s been trying to escape the life of time travel. Together they have to travel to different times and places to correct the timeline that others have changed. Captured in a game of strangers and allies, Passenger is a story of adventure, excitement, love, and courage.

I fell in love with this book as soon as I started reading it. I’ve read many time travel books before but this one stood apart because it wasn’t the classic sci-fi cliche most would expect. I couldn’t put this book down and I highly recommend it for anyone who needs a good book.
