Student Council greeting everyone entering the game.

On Thursday, February 23, many of Rolla High School’s student council members stood outside Rolla High in shorts and t-shirts looking for donations of warm winter clothing. This tradition is called the Freeze Out.

From January’s cover story on The Rolla Mission, student council member, Jessica Crump, decided to give all the donations from the Freeze-Out this year to The Mission.

“The Freeze Out is a clothing and toiletry donation for The Mission here in Rolla.

I learned [about The Mission] actually from the ECHO, but they are a place where homeless people and people in need can go and wash their clothes, take a shower, and recently they’ve just started doing overnight stays,” Crump said.
