Tips for finals week

Whether it’s your first time or your fifth, taking finals is a stressful time for everyone. Procrastination starts to set in as Christmas Break comes closer, and the thought of taking another test makes everyone sad and tired. In order to help with this stressful week, here are some tips to help all of those suffering during this final week of the semester.

  1. Don’t procrastinate. Although is may sound appealing, trying to postpone studying for several tests in a three day span will only end badly.
  2. Get some sleep. It can sound great to stay up late trying to cram for the test the next day, but last minute cramming rarely works and it takes away from some much needed sleep.
  3. Ask for help. If there are certain terms or areas you don’t understand, ask a teacher or a friend for help. It can only benefit you to do so.
  4. Eat plenty of food. Eating a good breakfast the day of a big test will help you focus on the material and not on what is for lunch.
  5. Go to study groups. Going to a quiet place to study with friends is a great way to not only focus on the material but to get help in areas you are struggling.
