Pep Rally to kickoff the new school year

Every year student council arranges a pep rally assembly to kick off the incoming year with as much bulldog pride as possible. This year the assembly will be held on Friday the 31, following 6th hour. The goal of the assembly is to create school spirit and a sense of unity within the student body.
STUCO president, senior Ashley Barth, gives us some advice on how to participate in the pep rally.
“You should bring an open mind, positive attitude, and lots of school spirit,” Barth said.
As a cheerleader senior, Brooke Henry appreciates when the crowd gives it their all and participates in the yell response cheers.
“Interacting with the cheers shows a ton of school spirit, and is super helpful when trying to pump up the crowd,” Henry said.
Every year there are a variety of is a crowd games and activities where crowd participation is vital to the participation of the game.
From experience, senior Emma Rodgers knows how important student involvement is.
“Make sure to have the most random items ready and on hand for the scavenger hunt,” Rodgers said.
Many clubs and activities have been getting ready for the 31st in their own way. The band has been practicing their pep tune songs for the past couple weeks, and they are excited to show their school spirit through their music
Senior football player, Kelly Brown wants to encourage the student body to show school spirit.
“It makes me excited to play this season knowing I have the support of all my peers cheering my team and I on,” Brown said.
The best advice a student could recieve was said best by our very own student council president.
“Drink some tea, get your vocal cords ready and be prepared, because we are going to yelling,” Barth said.
