Rolla faces off with conference foe West Plains

The Rolla Boys Basketball team is facing off against conference foe the West Plains Zizzers tonight at home with the jayvee game starting at 5:30 and the varsity game following afterward. Rolla comes into the game ranked fifth in the state with an overall record of 17-1 on a 15 game winning streak. Rolla is tied for first in the conference while West Plains is ranked seventh. Junior Alec Buhr knows that the Bulldogs will have to continue to play at a high level.

“We just have to go out and play hard. West Plains doesn’t have the best record but we can’t take them lightly. We just have to go out there and play basketball. One big gameplan on offense for us is to not stand when someone has the ball. We always have to be cutting through the lane to try to get open. Defensively, we have to be aware of the shooters they have and make sure they don’t get any second-chance points,” Buhr said.
